What ages will the league acceptcept?
Lower Alabama Lacrosse (LAL) is open to girls and boys age 7 - 15. We will have U15 and
U12 teams.

Does my child need to have previous lacrosse experience?
No. We welcome all youths with a positive attitude who is willing to learn a fun, new
athletic sport.

What is the season for lacrosse? Does it conflict with other sports?
The LAL season runs from mid-January through May. We have many players who also play
other sports, such as spring soccer and baseball. Practices are twice a week, with games on
alternating Saturdays. Practices and games are held at the fields next to Daphne Middle
School, on Whispering Pines Rd.

Are there other teams locally to play?
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in America. There are U15 and U12 teams in Ocean
Springs, New Orleans, Gulf Breeze and Ft. Walton Beach. In addition, there are larger
leagues in Birmingham and Montgomery.

How to we get equipment?
The league has a limited amount of equipment for rent, on a first come basis. We also have
equipment packages for sale.

Are you affiliated with any national league?
LAL is affiliated with US Lacrosse and requires all players to maintain current
memberships (fees are included in the league fees). Membership in US Lacrosse includes
player insurance and a monthly lacrosse magazine. More information about the
